Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of traditional music as well as traditional Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is passionate about opera and tangos, and all dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing songs with her mother then began more intense vocal training when she was 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a scholar and professional. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She's a regular solo performer for private events and parties and performs classical Latin American Music. As a teacher and musician she has volunteered for various community-based projects because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana was also a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able bring to others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
